Twoogle, cause campaign for Jared Young for Senate

Twoogle was the second drop in 'Two Few', Buena's series of parody products for independent Senate candidate Jared Young in 2024. A Google look-alike returned only two options for any search, and not even the best two, mirroring the choice voters face in a two-party system.

Most Missourians wanted a third option. Few knew they had one

In 2024 Jared Young was running for the US Senate in Missouri as an independent. His campaign's research put the gap plainly: 70% of Missourians wanted a third option, but only 31% knew there was one.

So the first job wasn't persuasion. It was getting people to notice how narrow the ballot is, and to feel it instead of just hearing it.

America loves options. We have endless coffee shops, BBQ sauces and streaming shows, but for the system that runs the country, we get two.

A search engine that only ever gives you two results

Search is the most familiar way we look at all our options. Ask anything and you get millions of answers. Twoogle gives you two.

Type any question into the Google look-alike and AI writes just two answers, both at the extremes, the way a two-party system frames every issue. Neither is the best answer. They're just the two you're allowed.

The About page said the rest: 'Search engines give millions of results to every question. Twoogle gives you two extremes, just like our American duopoly.' A link then sent people to Jared's campaign.

Twoogle was part of Two Few, a series we made for the campaign around one question: what if everything worked like our two-party system? Instead of spending on paid ads, the campaign launched a new project each month.

Twoflix came first on July 2, a streaming service with only two shows. Twoogle and 2ber, a rideshare app with only two cars, followed in July, each one pointing back to Jared Young's independent run.

Twoogle went live at two-gle.com and ran through the election.
