Buena’s project manager turns the work week into a game you can win. Five months and 774 commits after the first line of code, the beta opened, and filled.
A juror for the Young Ones, Doug also presented the student winners, with one piece of advice.

In October 2017, the One Show invited Buena founder, Doug Burnett, to jury two categories for the 2018 One Show in the Young Ones Brief and Young Ones Pitch categories. On May 7, 2018, Burnett joined industry colleagues to select the final winners. For the Young Ones Pitch category, students pitched their work in person.
Doug was also invited to represent the jury at the One Show Student Award Show, presenting winners and sharing advice.
“I got into the industry thinking I was one idea away from David Droga. But not only did I realize I was a 1000 ideas away from him, but I realized that it’s not just the idea. As students, its easy to think I’m going to have this idea, and I’m going to take my award and I’m good, but I challenge you to find a way to actually make your idea, and that has made all the difference for me.”
