Santiago Narváez Onriza, a Lápiz de Acero nominee, joins Buena from Bogotá
Buena went looking for a young designer at Colombia’s Universidad Nacional and found Santiago, whose interactive magazine was nominated at the 2025 Lápiz de Acero.
Camila Collazos, a project manager with about a hundred projects behind her, joins Buena from Medellín to turn big ideas into plans with dates on them.

Buena has a project manager. Camila Collazos joins the studio from Medellín, Colombia, to turn big ideas into plans with dates on them. From her first week she takes on the day-to-day running of the studio’s projects.
Camila, by the numbers
Camila studied at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, where she also worked as a research assistant. She went into marketing as an analyst at Prebel, then moved into running projects: first as a project manager at IngenioLab in Medellín, then as client success director at AuthorityTech, where she managed about a hundred of them.
After that she went independent, earning Upwork’s Top Rated Plus badge while managing digital marketing work for clients across time zones. That last part matters here. Buena is a remote studio. Doug Burnett, its founder, works from Portland, Oregon; the rest of the team works from wherever the work is best done. Someone in Medellín shares most of Portland’s working day and all of its urgency.
So excited to have you join the team! We’re gonna make some really big waves together in the world…
Camila becomes Buena’s project manager on day one. She takes on the websites, the ad campaigns and the creative work, and keeps all three moving week to week.
A launch is a thousand small things. Scripts, approvals, press timing, a site that can’t go down. That is exactly the work Camila was hired for, and there is always a next one already on her calendar before the month is out.

A team of great people needs one person who knows where everything is.
Camila’s job is to make a team spread across the Americas feel like one room. In practice that means one place for every task, a weekly rhythm with each client and each teammate, and fewer surprises for everyone.
Camila arrived as project manager and didn’t stay in one job for long. By January 2026 she was Buena’s Chief of Staff and head of operations, running the projects, the clients and the hiring, and the team she helped build had grown from three people to ten. She also gave the studio’s Slack the Buena Taco, an emoji the team now hands out for good work. Her full story is on her team page.
