A developer, a UX/UI director and a web designer join Buena in three months, as a studio of three becomes a team of ten that builds its own products.

Three months, three builders. Brayan Marcano, Lucas Inzirillo and Francisco “Fran” Sanchez have joined Buena since January to lead development, product design and web. They arrive as a studio of three people last spring becomes a team of ten, and as Buena starts building software of its own alongside its campaigns.

The studio, this spring

  • 3 → 10people on the teamBuena’s growth since Camila Collazos joined to run operations in 2025.
  • 3new leads since JanuaryDevelopment, UX/UI design, and web design and development.
  • 2020the year Lucas started designing productsFreelancing for companies in Germany and Spain, and co-founding his own.

Why a campaign studio is hiring developers

Buena made its name with big ideas and no media budget. That work doesn’t go away. But more of what good causes need now is software: sites they can run themselves, tools that save their small teams hours, apps that keep supporters coming back.

The studio set its course at a three-day retreat in January. Two of its three themes were building systems that actually scale and raising the bar on creative excellence and innovation. The practical answer to both was the same: hire people who can build.

Brayan Marcano, development

Brayan Marcano leads development.

Brayan’s first call with Buena, in late January, was about a component system in Storybook and Chromatic, the plumbing that lets designers and developers share the same building blocks. It set the tone. He works across web and mobile, building apps with Flutter and the Claude, Vercel and Supabase stack, and wires up the integrations and automations behind them.

His first big build is close to home: a task and time app for Buena’s own team, taking shape now as Gitterdone. Read more on his team page.

Lucas Inzirillo, UX/UI director

Lucas Inzirillo leads UX and UI.

Lucas has designed products since 2020, freelancing for companies in Germany and Spain. He co-founded beAuPair in Germany, and ran development for a Shopify store in Argentina, so he knows what happens to a design after it leaves Figma.

He started in January on product design, and in February he became Buena’s UX/UI director. He also keeps the Buena design system and walks every new designer through it. More on his team page.

Fran Sanchez, web design and development

Fran Sanchez designs and builds Buena’s sites.

Fran started building with Buena in December, on the kickoff of the Buena Design System in Framer: elements, widgets and layouts first, then dark mode and layouts for content. This month he joins the team. He designs and builds sites in Framer, writes code components when a design needs more than the tools give, and adapts copy so every page reads right.

His work runs from client sites to the template that new Buena websites start from, using a workflow that passes from ChatGPT and Claude to Figma to Framer. More on his team page.

Campaigns make a cause famous. Software keeps it running.

One team, many time zones

Buena has always been remote. The team works across the Americas, with Doug in Portland, Oregon, Camila Collazos running operations from Medellín, Lucas in Argentina, and the rest of the team spread across the hemisphere. What holds it together is a shared way of working more than a shared office.

That shared stack is why three hires can change a studio this much. A designer can prototype in code. A developer can pick up a component the designer already made.
